S.1 Cheung Chau Adventure Day

中一長洲挑戰日

On November 8, 2025, peer group leaders and S.1 students set sail for Cheung Chau for an orienteering adventure. The S.1 Cheung Chau Adventure Day was jointly organized by the Peer Group Guidance Team and the school social workers. The activity aimed to enhance peer group leaders’ communication skills and leadership abilities. From motivating S.1 students to complete challenges to resolving conflicts, peer group leaders needed to remain calm and focused. With strong emotional resilience, they facilitated S.1 students' smooth transition from primary to junior secondary education.

During the adventure, S.1 students and their peer group leaders faced various challenges at assigned checkpoints, including exploring Cheung Po Tsai Cave and climbing the Mini Great Wall Trail. Each group set goals and planned their routes, and students were delighted to share their feelings and experiences upon completing all tasks. The support provided by peer group leaders exemplifies service learning, which is promoted as an essential learning experience for all S.C. Gawers
