The Sharing Session from Alumni Mr Chan Wai Lap (HKADC The Award for Young Artist (Visual Arts ) 2019

香港藝術發展局2019藝術新秀獎得主 - 陳惠立校友分享會

Thank you alumni Mr Chan Wai Lap for sharing his unique creative journey with us. He explored fascinating creative ideas from different perspectives—truly inspiring! Our students gained valuable insights from his sharing.

Mr. Chan Wai Lap graduated from Birmingham City University in the UK, majoring in Visual Communication Design. In 2019, Chan received the Award for Young Artist (Visual Arts) from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and the Professor Mayching Kao Fine Arts Fund. He was also a finalist for the 2021 Art Sanya Huayu Youth Award and 2022 Sovereign Asian Art Prize.

He addresses the relationship among public space, humanities and inner-self through drawings and installations. He exhibited in Hong Kong and overseas, including Tai Kwun Contemporary, the Fringe Club, HK Museum of Medical Sciences, Art Central Hong Kong, K11 Art Space, Halka Sanat Projesi in Istanbul, and School of Visual Arts in New York.

陳惠立先生畢業於英國伯明罕城市大學 。2019年獲得香港藝術發展局的藝術新秀獎（視覺藝術）及高美慶教授藝術贊助基金。他亦曾入圍2021年三亞藝術季華宇青年獎及Sovereign傑出亞洲藝術獎2022。

他關注公共空間、人文及自我內心的關聯，並將它們轉化成繪畫和裝置藝術。 其作品曾於香港及海外展出，包括大館當代美術館、藝穗會、香港醫學博物館、香港 Art Central、K11美術館、伊斯坦布爾 Halka Sanat Projesi及紐約視覺藝術學院等。
