TWGHs Joint Secondary Schools Singapore English Summer Camp 2025

From June 29th to July 5th 2025, five of our S.3 students had the valuable opportunity to participate in the TWGHs Joint Secondary Schools Singapore English Summer Camp. Throughout the week, students from 18 TWGHs secondary schools immersed themselves in an engaging, English-rich environment. By participating in various real-life scenarios designed to enhance their English speaking and comprehension skills, they gained substantial exposure to the language through interactions with experienced native-speaking teachers, with a particular focus on developing public speaking and debating abilities.

In addition to classroom activities, students explored some of Singapore's most famous landmarks, including Merlion Park, Night Safari, Singapore Science Centre, and Universal Studios. These visits not only enriched their cultural understanding but also provided authentic opportunities for them to practice English in diverse settings.

This meaningful learning trip aims to boost our students' confidence in speaking English publicly and to significantly enhance their overall communication skills. We believe that this experience will motivate them to use English more actively in their daily lives and future academic pursuits.
