Tsing Yi Chu Yan Primary School STEAM Day
青衣主恩小學STEAM活動日
Our school participated in the STEAM Day event at Tsing Yi Chu Yan Primary School, setting up three interactive robot booths to allow primary school students to experience the integration of technology and creativity. The event was lively and full of learning opportunities.
Students used artificial intelligence (AI) to identify images or objects and control the direction of the robotic car to complete tasks. This technology demonstrated the application of AI in automation, leaving the students amazed.
Using WiFi and a self-developed mobile app, students controlled soccer robots to compete, aiming to push the ball into the opponent’s goal. This activity not only tested their control skills but also allowed them to experience the fun of programming and real-time robotics.
Students used visual programming or a remote controller to command the robotic dog to perform tasks such as walking, turning, and jumping. The agile movements of the robotic dog amazed the students and sparked their interest in robotics.
Students from Chu Yan Primary School shared that these activities were both novel and engaging, offering them a hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology they had never encountered before. They described it as a fulfilling and unforgettable morning.
