TWGHs Joint Secondary Schools U.K. Economic and Cultural Study Tour 2026
東華三院中學聯校英國經濟及文化研學團 2026
In alignment with the vision of "Whole-Person Education," Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) launched the Student Ambassador Programme in 2015. Every year, overseas study tours are organized to lead students abroad, encouraging them to learn through travel and gain a global perspective.
From September 15 to 24 this year, Mr. Tseng Hing Yip, Chairman of TWGHs, together with members of the Board of Directors, accompanied 21 Student Ambassadors from 18 TWGHs secondary schools on a 10-day study tour to London and surrounding regions in the United Kingdom. The tour was carefully designed to deepen students' understanding of the U.K.'s economy, history, and vibrant culture.
Highlights & Key Destinations Visited: Landmarks & Cultural Heritage: Students explored iconic sites along the River Thames, including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. They also visited UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Stonehenge and the Royal Crescent in Bath, discovering prehistoric mysteries and classical architecture. Academic & Higher Education Experience: The delegation visited world-renowned university campuses (such as historic colleges in Cambridge/Oxford) to experience top-tier academic culture and rich heritage firsthand. Creative Industries & Pop Culture: A special visit was made to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, giving students insight into the U.K.'s thriving film and creative industries.
Throughout the 10-day journey, our Student Ambassadors demonstrated active learning, teamwork, and great enthusiasm. We believe this unforgettable experience will inspire them to embrace global perspectives and continue exploring in their future academic pursuits!
