TWGHs Joint Secondary Schools English Language Enhancement Study Tour 2026

From June 28th to July 4th 2026, five of our S.3 students had the valuable opportunity to participate in the TWGHs Joint Secondary Schools English Language Enhancement Study Tour. Throughout the week, students from 18 TWGHs secondary schools immersed themselves in an engaging, English-rich environment. By participating in various real-life scenarios designed to enhance their English speaking and comprehension skills, they gained substantial exposure to the language through interactions with experienced native-speaking teachers, with a particular focus on developing public speaking and leadership in order to be future-ready generations.

In addition to classroom activities, students explored some of Singapore’s most famous landmarks, including Merlion Park and Gardens by the Bay. These visits not only enriched their cultural understanding but also provided authentic opportunities for them to practise English in diverse settings. This meaningful learning trip aims to boost our students’ confidence in speaking English publicly and to significantly enhance their overall communication skills. We believe that this experience will motivate them to use English more actively in their daily lives and future academic pursuits.
