CUHK Business School - Business Academy for Secondary Schools

On 28 may 2025, all S4 BAFS students had the opportunity to participate in the Business Academy for Secondary Schools activity organized by the Business School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). During this event, our students had a mini-lecture with Dr. Cheung, the Director of the BBA in Hospitality and Real Estate Program, at the CUHK campus, focusing on Metaverse Tourism. They were immersed in a virtual tour of various travel destinations and a hotel using VR technology, and had the chance to visit a hotel room for educational purposes. This allowed them to compare the differences between virtual reality and physical experiences.

The students learned that using VR for metaverse tourism can bring numerous benefits, such as preventing over-tourism and protecting the natural environment. However, they also identified some limitations, such as the lack of physical touch. Furthermore, Dr. Cheung introduced our students to the structure of the BBA in Hospitality and Real Estate Program, which has aroused interest and understanding among our students regarding this academic pathway.

This interesting and informative activity has definitely better equipped our students for their future academic pursuits and careers.
