Musical Appreciation - ＂The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee＂

On 21st March 2025, our students attended a special afternoon performance of the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, produced by the University of Science and Technology (HKUST). This event aimed to enhance the cultural experience of our students and to promote their appreciation for the performing arts.
The musical tells the story of a spelling bee competition, filled with humour and heartfelt moments. Each character, with their distinct personalities, captured the audience's attention. The performance offered not only entertainment but also valuable lessons about resilience and self-acceptance.
Throughout the show, our students were thoroughly engaged. They laughed at the clever dialogue and cheered for the contestants. The lively music and dynamic choreography contributed to an enjoyable experience for all.
Feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive. Many remarked on how much they enjoyed the performance and how it allowed them to connect with themes of friendship and personal growth. This outing fostered a greater appreciation for theatre and encouraged students to reflect on storytelling and character development.
