TWGHs Joint Secondary Schools Choir participating the Japan Vocal Music Festival 2024

東華三院中學聯校合唱團參與2024日本聲樂音樂節

On 24th and 25th August 2024, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) Joint Secondary School Choir gave a choral performance at the Japan Vocal Music Festival and Yokohama International Chorus Festival. 18 of our students joined in chorus on stage with TWGHs Kap Yan Directors' College and TWGHs Li Ka Shing College in performing Trusting the Rainbow and Go Down Moses, conducted by our Vice Principal, Mr. Yuen Wai Tong.

Our students benefited a lot from the generous support of TWGHs. Thanks to Ms. Tang Ming Wai, the Chairperson of TWGHs Board of Directors, Mr. Su Yau-on, the Chief Executive of TWGHs, Mr. Wu Kee-huen, the Head of the Education Division of TWGHs, and our school Principal Dr. Jack Wong , students embarked on their musical journey to Japan. Their appreciation and presence at the festivals not only gave students a boost of confidence but also illustrated their determination to develop students’ diverse talents and enrich them with unique extracurricular experiences.

Having participated in the festivals, students were developed all-roundedly. After our students’ satisfying performance, local vocal teachers and conductors gave them favorable comments and commended them on their efforts. Students were inspired by their consistent work. After all, their outstanding performances were the result of months of practice, team spirit, and managing stage fright. May students continue to strive for excellence and so will their passion for music blossom.
