Mathematics Enrichment Programme for Primary School Students

Our school collaborated with the Hong Kong Academy for Education (HKAGE) to organize a mathematics enrichment course for gifted primary students. 15 students coming from various primary schools were enrolled in this programme. They attended a total of four lessons in our school on four successive Saturday mornings from 19th June to 10th July 2021. In the course, the students were introduced some advanced topics in algebra such as identities, coordinates, and summation of sequences. Mathematical principles were illustrated through mathematical problems, mathematics card tricks, hands-on modelling and mathematics apps. It is hoped that the students will have a deeper understanding of the applications and strengths of Mathematics and develop an inquiring mind in Mathematics. On 10th July, our principal Dr. Jack Wong presented the certificates of completion to the participating students.
