English Week 2021

12 November 2021

English Week 2021

The English Week 2021 was held at our school hall from Nov 9 to Nov 12. The theme this year is Sherlock Holmes. In order to help students tune in the story background of the detective case, a trailer was broadcast in the school campus one week before the activity started. The practice teachers also cosplayed themselves as the prince, a fortune teller, a florist and a teacher to bring an immersive experience for students. Our students were provided the chance to act as disciples of Sherlock Holmes to solve the mystery of the Stolen Crown.

Apart from the well-decorated venue, a series of enchanting and appealing activities were designed to raise students’ interest in English. The activities were as follows:

- The Hidden Message (Teacher)
- The Riddle (Fortune Teller)
- The Word Power (Prince Charlie)
- The Decoding Symbols (Florist)

Students were required to collect different clues from the four booths before they could decode the hidden messages and solve the puzzle.

With the support of our student hosts, practice teachers and all S C Gaw English teachers, the English Week this year was well-organized and run smoothly. All participants had a good time and enjoyed the fun of English!
