Movie watching is an effective way that helps students to learn English outside their classrooms. It not only allows students to improve their English but also helps them develop a critical and analytical mind to problem solving. Based on this ground, a movie appreciation activity was arranged for all S.2 and S.3 students on 1st August. Over 200 students were arranged to watch Thor: Love and Thunder, a 2022 American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios, at the Broadway Cinema in Kwai Fong.

The film, based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name, is a sequel to Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Endgame. Thor is on a journey searching for inner peace. However, his retirement is interrupted by Gorr, who is the God Butcher seeking the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. The team embarks upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of Gorr’s vengeance and stops him before it is too late. This funny and touching movie keeps our students engaged in every scene and they enjoyed the activity very much.
