24 June 2023Mathematics Enrichment Programme for primary school students
Our school collaborated with the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) to organize a mathematics enrichment course for primary students. 15 students from different primary schools were enrolled in this programme. They attended a total of three lessons in our school on three Saturday mornings from 3rd June to 24th June 2023. In the course, the students were introduced some advanced topics in algebra such as algebraic identities, rectangular coordinates, equation of straight lines and summation of sequences. Mathematical principles were illustrated through math riddles, mathematics card tricks, hands-on modelling and graphing calculator app. It is hoped that the students will have a deeper understanding of the applications and strengths of Mathematics and develop an inquiring mind in Mathematics. On 24th June, our Vice Principal Mr Yuen presented the certificates of completion to the students.
